A mother’s instinct is powerful. After giving birth to her son, Shawna immediately knew something was wrong. After being released to go home, she left one hospital and took her baby to Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital, where J’ior was diagnosed with Biliary Atresia. This disease affects the bile ducts, resulting in the swift destruction of liver cells, cirrhosis, and liver scarring. Now, four years later, Shawna continues to fight for J’ior and is on a mission to bring awareness to children and adults about his life and death journey.

Our mission is to heal & save lives, and despite the circumstances, our team continues to make every effort to ensure fulfillment of our mission.

All donation and transplantation work will continue as usual.

Programming, in-person meetings and external events are on-hold until further notice.

We are closely monitoring the situation and will deliver updates via social media, our website, and email communications as things progress.
