At the BMV
Say “Yes” to be an organ, eye and tissue donor at the BMV when receiving or renewing your driver’s license or state identification card. You will be redirected to the Ohio BMV Locations website.

Easily register online! You will be redirected to the OHIO BMV Website to register online. Note: you need a current and valid Ohio’s driver’s license or state identification card.

Fill out and return an Ohio Donor Registry Enrollment brochure. You will be redirected to a separate website.

It’s a decision that is so incredible and impactful, that the state of Ohio legally backs it through something called first-person consent. No one can change this decision but you!

  • 1,600 men, women, and children waiting for a transplant are right here in Northeast Ohio. These individuals are your friends, your neighbors, and your family members
  • Doctors will always try to save your life. Becoming a registered donor will never change that.
  • Donors do not incur additional medical expenses because of their decision.
  • Donors are icons, heroes, and legends. Donors from Northeast Ohio saved the lives of 463 people in 2020.
