Donor Family Stories - Kevin Fox

As part of a school project, Kevin Fox was asked to create a list of fifty goals filled with things that he wished to complete throughout his lifetime. Goal #20 stood out from the rest: Save a life.

Fox was one of the four Brunswick High School teenagers who passed away back on June 3, 2012 in a tragic car accident in Columbia Township on the day of his graduation. His legacy lives on however because Fox chose to become an organ, eye, and tissue donor in order to save the lives of a few others.

Fox was able to donate his heart, liver and both of his kidneys to people in urgent need. He was able to save many more lives because of his story that touched so many and inspired people to register as organ, eye, and tissue donors.

One way that Kevin’s loved ones remember him is by wearing wristbands that say Kevin’s favorite quote, “Never Give Up.” It may be a simple quote, but it is something that his family and friends have used to inspire them to get through each day while remembering the legacy that Kevin left behind and the positive impact that he had on each of their lives.

Another way that the Fox family honors their loved one is by participating in the Lifebanc Gift of Life Walk and Run. The annual event is coming up on Saturday June 11th from 7:30-11:30am to support their mission of saving and healing lives through organ, eye, and tissue donation and transplantation.
