8 50 Mile Challenge
What is the 8.50 Challenge?
Do you know that one organ donor can save the lives of eight people and one tissue donor can save and heal the lives of more than fifty people? We want to honor donor heroes. The 8.50 Challenge is a new challenge for the 2020 Gift of Life Walk & Run and every registered participant is encouraged to walk/run/bike/hike/treadmill/skate for 8.5 miles in support of organ, eye, and tissue donation.
Do it all in one day or do it over the course of 8 days – your choice.
(Between August 8th and August 15th)
Since we are not limited to one morning to complete a course, you can take the challenge in your own timeframe. Track your progress toward 8.50 miles using your favorite tracking device, or using the GOLWR 8.50 log sheet. Some free tracking options include MapMyRun, Strava, and RunKeeper.
Make It Personal!
Celebrate a special person touched by donation or transplantation with an 8.50-Mile Challenge Bib that you can print and personalize!
Email your results by Monday, August 17th to Hermes Road Racing. You can attach a picture of your tracker, send the link to your workout, attach your log sheet or enter the distances manually into the email body – just show us you did it! Must include your full name of registered participant and mailing address.
