What is Lifebanc

Lifebanc, is the federally designated organ, eye and tissue recovery organization that serves 20 counties in Northeast Ohio. Put simply, we facilitate and coordinate organ, eye and tissue donation and transplantation in our community and educate the public on the importance of our mission. Our vision is pursuing a future when the decision to donate is an honor and everyone waiting receives a transplant. Our mission is saving and healing lives through organ and tissue donation for transplantation.

Position Description:

Use your passion for organ, eye and tissue donation to enhance the life-saving donation gifts at one of Northeast Ohio’s most important institutions: MetroHealth Medical Center. You will form invaluable relationships with doctors, nurses and administrators to ensure that all those who make the decision to give life through donation have their wishes fulfilled. By being The MetroHealth community’s most prominent and positive donation advocate, you will build opportunities for collaboration and continuous education that can directly result in more lives being saved and healed.

By using your clinical, ICU and trauma experience, you will gain trust, develop internal donation champions and ensure that the needs of life-saving donors and their loved ones are met to the fullest.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Health Care
  • At least 5 years progressive experience in a related field
  • Experience in dealing with families in grief and/or critical conversations.
