What is Lifebanc?

Lifebanc, is the federally designated organ, eye and tissue recovery organization that serves 20 counties in Northeast Ohio. Put simply, we facilitate and coordinate organ, eye and tissue donation and transplantation in our community and educate the public on the importance of our mission. Our vision is pursuing a future when the decision to donate is an honor and everyone waiting receives a transplant. Our mission is saving and healing lives through organ and tissue donation for transplantation.

Position Description

The Facilities and Supplies Coordinator is responsible for maintaining inventory supply levels, which includes ordering, rotating supplies and stocking all areas of Lifebanc, both clinical and administrative in support of Lifebanc’s mission, vision, and values.

Essential Functions

  • Receive all supply deliveries, both clinical and administrative.
  • Document all inventory according to Inventory Control System.
  • Monitor gross supply levels and maintain adequate inventory according to par levels, rotating supplies and building recovery kits as needed.
  • Place purchase orders.
  • Back up Facilities and Supply Services Supervisor as needed.
    • Assist with maintaining vehicle fleet
    • Assist with scheduling building and equipment maintenance and repair
  • Biohazard Materials
    •  Assist with the pick-up and delivery of clean/dirty scrubs
    • Assist in pick-up of biohazard materials

The work schedule will vary between the hours of 7:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and the schedule may include weekend hours. The candidate needs to be flexible as the work days may possibly change.

A high school diploma or its equivalent is required. 1-3 years’ of previous work related facilities management, inventory and/or purchasing experience is required. The qualified candidate must be knowledgeable in shipping and receiving processes and have the ability to lift 50 lbs.  The qualified candidate will have the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people, possess the ability to multi-task, be a team player, work independently and be qualified in Microsoft Office software. The qualified candidate must have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, a safe driving record and have current auto insurance.
