Lifebanc is proud that a third recipient quilt has been completed. Ambassador Holly Mulkerin sewed the quilt squares together for this new quilt. The Threads of Life Quilts project is an ongoing project for organ, eye and tissue recipients.
Hand-crafted squares designed by transplant recipients, their family and/or friends are stitched together to create panels of a beautiful and emotion-filled Threads of Life Quilt. The quilts are dedicated to those who have received the Gift of Life, Sight, and Mobility. They celebrate the lives saved and enhanced by transplant and serve as a tribute to the donors who made this possible. Wherever the quilts are on display, they promote awareness of the critical need for organ and tissue donation and the success of transplantation.
We would like to extend a special invitation to you to submit a square and add your story to this ongoing project.
The "Threads of Life" Recipient Quilt is a beautiful and lovingly crafted piece of art, with many, many stories. When these quilts travel to various locations, the public will be interested in whom the squares honor.
In order to be able to answer the many questions asked regarding the various, individual squares, we have compiled "Threads of Life" Recipient Quilt scrapbooks that accompany the quilts while traveling. If you would like us to include your information in a scrapbook, please print the Quilt Scrapbook Form and return with your completed quilt square.
