Organization Partners

One of Lifebanc's most vital partnership is with the Bureau of Motor Vehicles. 

Since 2002, of those who designate their decision to be a registered organ, eye and tissue donor, more than 94 percent say "YES" at the counter while renewing or receiving their driver’s license or state I.D. card. The Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV) branches are the key to our success. Without their involvement and daily commitment to ask the question, "Do you want to be an organ and tissue donor?" to their customers, Lifebanc could not continue to save and heal the lives that we do through transplantation.

Recently, two agencies from northeast Ohio were honored for their hard work and participation in the state Front Line Award.

Local Partners

Lifebanc is fortunate to have organizational partners in our mission to increase the number of organs and tissue available for transplant. The Cleveland Eye Bank is a non-profit organization dedicated to restoring sight by providing tissue for transplantation, research and teaching. The Cleveland Eye Bank serves the northeast Ohio community and over 60 area hospitals.  The Minority Organ and Tissue Transplant Education Program (MOTTEP) works within the African American community to raise awareness of the importance of good health, preventative measures and the need for more registered organ and tissue donors.  Lifebanc also partners with Transplant Recipients International Organization (TRIO) which provides educational and social events for organ and tissue transplant recipients.
