Request a Speaker for Medical Professionals

LifeBanc has well-established professional educational opportunities for all hospital staff, including nurses, physicians and social workers. We also offer professional programs geared toward the needs of pastoral care, clergy and funeral directors. Through professional education, partnerships are formed that provide quality service to the donor families we serve and increase the number of organs and tissue available for transplant.

LifeBanc's goal is to increase all professionals' knowledge base about organ and tissue donation, and to realize the impact that each professional, in his or her individual role, has on the process of organ and tissue donation. LifeBanc's procurement transplant coordinators, hospital affairs coordinators, medical director and hospital transplant surgeons are readily available to provide a wide range of programs tailored to specific needs of any hospital department. Services available include:
  1. Case study presentations
  2. Post-donor conferences
  3. Grand rounds
  4. C.E.U. programs/workshop
  5. Medical Student Course
  6. Assistance with course curriculum supplements
  7. Informational displays and materials
  8. Brochures, posters and other professional literature
Professional educational programs also can be provided for ancillary hospital departments that are integral to the donation process, such as social services, pastoral care, laboratory and respiratory care.

Professional education is available for the college/university setting, including nursing and medical schools. Request a speaker today at HD@lifebanc.org.
