The “What’s Inside?” Body Awareness Presentation is a program designed for students in grades Pre-K- 2 (ages 4-7). Children learn about the major organs of the body with the help of a colorful anatomy apron and songs. An activity sheet and sticker are provided. The goal of the program is to educate children in this age range about the jobs of specific organs—brain, heart, lungs, liver, stomach, small intestine, large intestine, and kidneys. In addition, the students learn about healthy habits and bicycle helmet safety. A Note to the Parent.
The Gift of Life Puppet Program, featuring the Kids on the Block® puppets, uses one of three scripts and is developmentally appropriate for students in grades 3-6 (or ages 8-12). It is followed by a short, question-and-answer time with one of the puppet characters. The goals of the program are to educate children in this age range about organ transplants, including the types of organs and tissue which can be donated, and the need for organ and tissue donation among all ages. A Note to the Parent.
