People are being asked to register as donors online at doitnowohio.org then reach out to eight additional friends and family members, asking them to do the same. “The number eight is a very big part of the program,” said Gordon Bowen, LifeBanc, Chief Executive Officer. "Each organ donor can save the lives of up to eight people through organ donation, and heal up to 50 more people through tissue and eye donation. One morning we brought in V-8 juice for everyone in the office to help remind them of how important each registered donor is.” Rarely does something of such minimal effort have such enormous impact.
